Wine-Warehouse is an organization which brings an excitement, value and service ethos to the Wine and Drinks retailing industry in South Africa.
The head office in Sandton (Franchisor) acts as importer, bulk buyer and marketer to the motivated owner managed stores (Franchisees). Logistic are handled by centrally located warehouse operations in the Cape and Gauteng. The group will develop its own value brands for wine and drinks once the volumes through the stores warrant it.
The initial area of focus is the upmarket areas of Gauteng. Franchisee stores are carefully selected on the basis of location, management commitment to service, and knowledge of the wine and drinks needs of the local customers. We provide a consulting service to rebrand and upgrade existing stores when they join the group.
The stores merchandising ethos is that of a 'drinks warehouse' without clutter. This promotes the sense of quality and value. Wine is marketed in a minimum 3 pack configuration. Complementary coffee tasting and other high value luxury items will be marketed at the point of sale.
We also offer a direct marketing service nationally via the Wine Warehouse Club which will feature specials on most well known wine and drinks brands.
We are looking to sell head franchises in the other major metro areas (Durban / Bloemfontein / Port Elizabeth / East London etc) to motivated and experienced operators in the drinks business. They will then be in a position to operate 3 – 5 branded stores in that region.
